VMWDPTC Announces Commander Kirk Lippold as Keynote Speaker
Indiana 811 and Kentucky 811 are proud to announce this year’s Virtual Midwest Damage Prevention Training Conference keynote speaker: Commander Kirk Lippold, USN (Retired).
Commander Kirk Lippold, USN (Retired), was the Commanding Officer of the USS Cole when it came under a suicide terrorist attack in Yemen on October 12, 2000. He will mark the start of the conference on November 5 at 9:30 a.m. EST with an inspiring message of leadership in crisis. This event is widely recognized as one of the most brazen acts of terrorism by Al Qaeda prior to September 11, 2001. His can’t-miss, live speech will kick off the 2020 VMWDPTC with a theme of safety as a top priority as he describes how to think ahead in a crisis.
